NME reports that singer Liam Gallagher has addressed the odds for an Oasis comeback, saying the boys could headline the Glastonbury festival in 2021, but not next year.
The musician was asked via Twitter:
“LG, how do you think this possible headline sounds: ‘Oasis reunite for a one-off show at Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary 2020’? What do you think?”.
He replied:
“Too soon. The little fella has threatened to take a year off which I highly recommend. I reckon he’ll give his head a good shake and bingo we’ll be on for the following year isn’t it.”
The “little fella” Liam referred to is his brother and Oasis guitarist, Noel Gallagher, who recently commented that he’s planning to take 2020 off.
Oasis parted ways in 2009 after 18 years of activity. Their seventh and latest album, “Dig Out Your Soul,” was released in October 2008.
