Ozzy Osbourne says that he is still “not back to 100 percent” after suffering from several medical issues last year, including a fall, neck surgery and hospitalization for the flu.
The legendary heavy metal singer gave an update on his health when he, his wife Sharon and their son Jack took part in a SiriusXM Town Hall interview with Jenny McCarthy, promoting the family’s new Travel Channel show “The Osbournes Want To Believe”.
Ozzy sai:
“I’m not back to 100 percent. I’m about 75 percent there, but it’s such a slow recovery. Spine surgery is bad news, man. I’ve been in such a bad state with pain; I’m still having a lot of pain.
“There was a point I was convinced that I was dying,” he continued.
“I was in that much discomfort and pain and misery. I thought they were all hiding it from me. I remember saying to Sharon, ‘You’ve gotta level with me. Is it worse than you’re making it out [to be]?’ She says, ‘No.’ … I’ve dropped all the medication for pain now.”
Ozzy also said that he is looking forward to performing again once he has regained his health and the coronavirus pandemic has subsided.
“I cannot wait [to get on stage], but I was talking to [BLACK SABBATH guitarist] Tony Iommi the other day, and he was saying with the way it’s going with this coronavirus, indoor shows will be a thing of the past,” Osbourne said.

Safe Health. We need OZZY for a long time.
Dear Lord Jesus ?, please completely heal Ozzy from all his illnesses, and keep him in your arms. Thank you Lord Jesus ? Amen
It’s interesting that at one time, our elders were convinced Ozzy and others were akin to the Antichrist. Now we see them for who they are, just folks who like to make some great, intense music. Hope things go well for Ozzy!
Amen! My daughter loves Ozzy, he has gotten her through a lot of hard times with her health. At 4 yrs old laying in her hospital bed listening to Ozzy’s Dreamer and watching Interview with a Vampire!! Her nurses loved her… They put her in a room away from others so she could do her thing…
We love Ozzie and pray for a complete and speedy recovery. ???
I hope he repents of his sins, and stops calling himself the prince of darkness. We all know who he’s comparing himself to when says that. The picture on the cover of the album “The Blizzard if Oz” was taken at Alister Crowley’s house in England. Crowley was a Satanist. Look him up. I know for a fact that Ozzy Osborne was and maybe still is a Satanist. I hope he denies Satan and accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior before he dies. After death it’s too late. His fate is sealed then.
Ozzy’s persona of Prince of darkness was cultivated during his time with Black Sabbath. A nod to the old film. Kids who played Sabbath freaked out their parents, which is a part of rebellious youth and became a point in business to sell records. That persona had to continue to sell records when he was startong solo. From this comes all the myths: Iommi cutting off part if his little finger so the devil would show him how to play guitar, Alice Cooper’s snake and make-up, Kiss’s blood spitting, fire breathing demon…the list is long and these things all serve one thing:sales…how many units can you move, how many parents can you scare, how many seats can you fill. Your post feeds right into that. So if taking a picture at crowley’s house is enough to sell more items of merchandise, then a savy business man would say go for it. What he needs is his fans support and love while we watch another rock icon slowly deteriorate in health, just like the rest of us will do eventually. It was never about the devil…it was about money. Period. And it worked.
My imaginary friend is better than yours…. I find it amazing that anyone believes any of this stone age bullshit, and I live amongst people who practiced cannibalism a 100 years ago….
