Consequently, Aerosmith canceled their Las Vegas residency scheduled for December 8.
Joe Perry provided an update on Tyler’s injury, explaining that it was extremely painful and made it difficult for him to stand. The experience was tough for the vocalist. Tyler’s injury was so severe that it required him to take pain medication to manage the pain during his recovery. However, the medication triggered a relapse in his addiction, which led him to enter rehab to focus on his recovery and health.
Perry revealed that Tyler’s injury was so debilitating that he struggled even to stand. The injury was a challenging experience for Tyler, but he has since made significant progress and is looking forward to the band’s upcoming tour plans. “He’s doing really well. He had surgeries on his foot and it was really a lot. It was almost impossible for him to stand. It was tough. So anyway, he’s doing really well though.
”Talked to him a bunch over the last bunch of months and he’s doing great actually. Right now we’re ready to launch a tour of the States in September. That’s what we’re planning right now so we’re getting ready to go again.”
