Dave Grohl joined GUNS N’ ROSES on stage last night at the renowned Glastonbury festival in the United Kingdom. Their electrifying set reached its pinnacle with a captivating rendition of their closing anthem, “Paradise City,” featuring Grohl’s remarkable talent.
When introducing Grohl, Axl Rose, the frontman of N’R, emphasized the importance of abundant guitars, stating that there’s never such a thing as too many.
Following a kind act of lending his throne to Axl Rose during the GUNS N’ ROSES reunion tour when the frontman injured his leg, the FOO FIGHTERS and GUNS N’ ROSES have shared the stage on multiple occasions. Their most recent collaboration took place at the 2021 BottleRock Music Festival.
During their performance on Glastonbury’s main Pyramid Stage, GUNS N’ ROSES treated the audience to a captivating 24-song set that spanned over two hours. Alongside their timeless hits, the band also showcased their latest singles, “Absurd” and “Hard Skool.”
According to Mark Beaumont, a respected critic from the U.K.’s Independent, GUNS N’ ROSES’ performance at Glastonbury has been labeled as the weakest headline set in the festival’s history. Beaumont particularly criticizes lead singer Axl Rose, pinpointing him as the band’s “fatal flaw.” He disparages Rose’s voice, likening it to a caricature of hard rock, comparable to something out of the Muppet Show. In a lighthearted manner, Beaumont suggests that if Rose’s voice were taken to a veterinarian, it would return home in a cardboard box.
