Neal Schon recently addressed criticism directed at his bandmate and Journey frontman, Arnel Pineda. Pineda had been the subject of disparaging remarks on various platforms, with some suggesting that “Journey with Pineda on lead was just ‘karaoke.'”

In response to a fan who came to Pineda’s defense and highlighted the frontman’s contributions to Journey, including original compositions, Schon offered a brief reply on Twitter: “[I] Ignored the ignorant remarks.”While there were earlier rumors of a feud between Schon and Pineda stemming from personal differences, it appears that they have resolved their issues. However, the intensity of the feud had become so pronounced that Journey fans found themselves divided into two camps, with speculation circulating that Pineda might depart the band after many years of collaboration with his bandmates.

Really tired of the “karaoke” remarks. Arnel has plenty of his own original material, AND has been featured on 3 Journey albums, material from which has been played on this tour. Singers leave bands, and bands move on. Why does Journey get singled out for the karaoke comments?
