Former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent has faced backlash from his fans for raising the membership fee for his ‘Euphoria’ Facebook group to $200. One user shared the email they received from Vincent, which said:
“From Vinnie Vincent. Hey guys. Beginning February 1, 2024, ‘Euphoria’ is changing to a paid membership site. $200 annual fee. It is a necessity to keep out the riff-raff and to ensure the safety and integrity of the fan core of this private club.”
Vincent continued his message, explaining the reasons for his decision:
“There have been several thousand people admitted in the last 3 months, and I expect a large number of trolls are lurking. They are in the process of being eliminated. Sorry, but it must be this way. I hope you understand. Anyone who wishes to stay can make payment at any time up to February 1. Thank you all.”
In reaction to this news, the user shared a screenshot and wrote:
“From Vinnie Vincent. It’s not April Fools yet, right?”
Vinnie’s words aroused surprise and disappointment among the fans. One of them wrote:
“Try as I might, it’s very difficult to defend this guy.”
Another comment also criticized the musician, noting:
“What a waste of talent and breathable air! Got to love Vinnie!”
