The 80’s rock inspired Steel Panther have been key players in the glam metal scene since the release of their debut album “Feel The steel”. Through an amalgamation of the 80’s rock greats with the addition of humorous lyrics and an exaggerated on-stage personae to recapture the rock lifestyle of that era Steel Panther boast one of the best live rock shows out there. Steep Panther are all set to return to Australia after 2 years. In June, they will tour Australia & New Zealand in support of their new feature film and acoustic album “Live From Lexi’s Mom’s Garage”.
Metal Wani’s William Richards had a chat with STEEL PANTHER frontman Michael Starr. He discusses upcoming Australian Tour in June, why Australia are more radio friendly than United States in-terms of music aired on stations, recently released feature film “Live From Lexi’s Mom’s Garage”. Michael also talks about upcoming album which has been written, entering studio and plans to release the album in October 2016. He throws light on musical direction, maintaining his voice both live & studio and his take on Axl Rose joining AC/DC.
Michael also talks about the death of Prince, Lemmy, David Bowie and how it impacted him as a musician.
