Lita Ford & Chris Holmes, a story not many people know.

During a recent appearance on SiriusXM‘s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk”, Lita Ford reflected on the experience of being married to former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes three decades ago.

When asked about the marriage, she said:

“He was a handful.”

“I had to pick him out of the street a few times. You know, he’s six-foot-six, so it’s not like I can just walk over and, ‘Hey, dude, I think I’ll just carry you home.’ We would walk down the street to the local pub, the local bar, and he couldn’t make it home; he would just pass out. And I would have to pick him up and carry him back up the hill.”

She shared an interesting story behind the domestic incident, saying:

“One time [Chris] got the notion that he wanted to beat my brand new washer and dryer up with a baseball bat.”

“I think he was drunk and he just thought, ‘Well, screw her and her washer and dryer. I think I’ll just take the baseball bat to [her] washer and dryer and beat the hell out of it.’ So I came home, and our side door into the house was right next to the laundry room where you walk past the washer and dryer. And I walked in, and I’m, like, ‘What the hell happened to my washer and dryer?’ [Laughs] ‘Who the hell beat the hell out of my washer and dryer, Chris?’ [Laughs] So, I thought, ‘Okay. An eye for an eye here, buddy. I’m gonna take your favorite guitar and I’m gonna go out into the street, onto the double yellow line in the street, on the black pavement — of course, I won’t miss the double yellow line — and I’m gonna smash up your favorite guitar.'”
