Alice Cooper Takes You Back To 70s With New Album 'Road'; Releases New Single 'I'm Alice'

A renowned inductee of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Alice Cooper, is set to unveil his latest album, titled “Road,” on August 25th through earMUSIC. The first single from the LP, “I’m Alice,” can be accessed below.

With production handled by the trusted and long-time collaborator Bob Ezrin, “Road” was skillfully written, composed, and recorded with Alice’s loyal bandmates: Ryan Roxie on guitar, Chuck Garric on bass, Tommy Henrikson on guitar, Glen Sobel on drums, and Nita Strauss on guitar. This album expertly captures the essence of classic Alice Cooper, featuring instantly recognizable grit and an abundance of fervor. It truly embodies everything one could hope for from the iconic artist and more.

Alice humorously remarks, “In the past, the show received reviews before the music did. Despite having #1 albums, the focus was always on our stage performances. However, for ‘Road,’ I wanted the band to play a fundamental role in shaping every song. Our time together is primarily spent on tour, so I aimed to maintain their exceptional unity showcased during live shows while working on fresh material. That’s precisely what we achieved with this record. When you have such an incredible band, it’s only fitting to show them off, and this album is my way of doing just that.”

Setting the tone for the entire album, the opening track and debut single, “I’m Alice,” boasts a driving drumbeat and distant wailing guitars. Alice’s unmistakable rasp takes the forefront as he delivers the catchy lyrics, “I know you’re searching for an extraordinary experience. Allow me to introduce you to my esteemed companion. I’m Alice, the Master of Madness, the Sultan of Surprise… So, don’t be afraid, simply look into my eyes.”

“Road” will be available in a wide array of formats, including limited-edition vinyls in various colors. Complementing the album’s concept, the bonus DVD/Blu-ray edition includes Alice Cooper’s enthralling live performance at Hellfest in 2022, featuring a collection of beloved classics and rarely performed gems.
