In a recent Instagram post, Tommy Lee shared details about his recent hand surgery, which has significantly improved his ability to perform as a drummer and keyboard player.
The Mötley Crüe drummer documented his journey from surgery to recovery through a series of photos. In the post, Lee expressed gratitude to Dr. Glenn Cohen for performing the successful operation, addressing two major issues that had been hindering his performance. Lee’s caption provided insight into the surgery’s impact, stating:
“Well, kids, it’s show and tell time… hope this doesn’t wreck your lunch. Only 3 weeks ago, I underwent hand surgery by Dr. Glenn Cohen. He addressed 2 debilitating issues for me as a drummer, keyboard player, and pretty much everything to do with my right hand. And yesterday was f*cking monumental for me to the point of tears…. I have my life back and my money makers.”
Lee went on to highlight his newfound ability to twirl drumsticks, a skill he had been unable to perform for several years due to issues like Dupuytren’s Contracture and carpal tunnel syndrome. He expressed gratitude to Dr. Cohen and the medical staff for their role in restoring his hand function:
“And for you drummers and musicians out there, I can say it’s possible to fix! And in the last clip, I’m able to twirl my sticks again… I haven’t been able to do that in a few years because of the Dupuytren’s Contracture and carpal tunnel issues that are now gone! Dr. Glenn Cohen and the staff there, I am forever grateful.”
