Sammy Hagar replied to a user’s comment on the video he shared on his official Instagram page, explaining the reason why he will not stop performing Van Halen’s David Lee Roth-era songs.
The user commented:
“Play more Chickenfoot and less DLR era stuff.”
Sammy Hagar replied back:
“Ha ha that would work for me just as well but we’re trying to respect Van Halen as a whole. Gotta keep that music alive. thank you for this comment.”

You got ìt Sammy hit the nail on the head keep the music alive
Yo David hey swallow that pride hold it, kick that huge EGO out of the way and get your a** on stage and give us the David Era and stop your boo hoping if you don’t like Sammy singing them I thought you were a professional musician
Went to see them in Indy this past summer. I did enjoy but I still wonder HOW Sammy can sing the songs in the DLR Era ? It is Two different eras . Michael should stick to backup vocals too. . …besides singing Sammy never mentioned that it was a tribute to Van Halen. But Sammy is getting older and probably needs to retire soon.
